Please include your macOS version, your Mac model, the heart-rate sensor you use, and what you expected to happen. Replies usually arrive within two working days.

Getting started

Turn on broadcasting. On most Garmin watches, hold the menu button and choose Broadcast Heart Rate. Chest straps and armbands start broadcasting when worn.
Pick your sensor in Pulse Station. It is remembered for next time.
Choose a style from the gallery and adjust it if you like.
Click Copy OBS Link, add a Browser source in OBS, paste the link and use the recommended width and height.

Common questions

My watch does not appear

Broadcast Heart Rate has to be switched on, and the watch stops broadcasting when the mode is exited or the watch sleeps. Only one device can receive the broadcast at a time, so close other apps that may be connected. Check that Bluetooth is on and that Pulse Station is allowed under System Settings, Privacy & Security, Bluetooth.

Nothing shows in OBS

Make sure Pulse Station is still running; it serves the overlay from your Mac. Leave "Shutdown source when not visible" unchecked on the Browser source. If you regenerated your private link, paste the new one.

The overlay is cut off

Set the Browser source to the recommended width and height shown next to the preview. It changes when you change the font size.

Can I use OBS on another computer?

Yes. Open Setup & LAN, choose "OBS on another computer" and turn on local network sharing. Both machines must be on the same trusted network. The connection is plain HTTP, so keep it to your home or studio network and never expose it to the internet.

Is my heart rate sent anywhere?

No. It is read over Bluetooth and rendered on your Mac. It leaves the machine only if you switch on local network sharing, and then only to whoever holds your private link on your own network.

Does it work without a sensor?

Demo Mode produces plausible changing values so you can build your scene before putting the sensor on. It is always clearly marked.
